On the 13th day of our trip, we broke camp and headed up to northern Michigan to visit with my older sister and her husband. Unfortunately, my brother-in-law was a bit under the weather, but we did have a great visit with my sister. We had a nice lunch at Burke's on one of the lakes in Cadillac, Michigan.
We stayed at Camp Cadillac. It really wasn't busy, with the weather still on the coolish side. But we were treated for the two days that we were there to a tree-carving in progress. Apparently the oak tree that the bear was carved from had to be taken down. I'm glad that we saw this work in progress.
